Absence makes the Heart grow Fonder...

So, here i am back again after what??? 2-3 months :-p

But i think i said in my first post not to expect much!

My last post was done the night i went into labour and so i'm sure everyone (or the 2 people) that read this know i had the baby. A little girl called Kairi Esther.

So i'll put some pics up and try to post a video of her too.

So this is one of the first pics of my precious little bundle. Had to go to Special Care Nursery coz she was only 2.64Kgs.

And here she is out of the humidicrib with the feeding ube up her nose.

Here she is with her future husband (much to Gerry's dismay :-p)

Harrison Benjamin (?) who was born 2 days before Kairi.

One of the first of many beautiful smiles.

And one with big sister whom she adores and can't get enough of.

So... not much has happened of late.
I finished work last week, (much to my manager's dismay) to get some well earned rest before baby comes, although, i think i have been working harder at home than i did at work :-p
On the weekend, my MIL and SIL, Kathy, came over to help me get the house ready for the pending arrival of Blob.
We totally fixed Ruthie's room and her books are now in a bookshelf instead of a tallboy drawer.
Most of the credit for that should go to Kathy as she pretty much put together the shelves on her own.
THANKS KATHY!!!
My MIL helped me out with stuff in the kitchen as well as my bedroom.
She started vacuuming but halfway through, the vacuum died! I'm hoping it was something faulty with the vacuum and not the fact that my bedroom was too dirty!!!
Ruthie stayed the night at Grandma's on Saturday so that Gerry and i could finish what needed to be done around the house.
We planned to be at the mall at 10am on sunday to return the vacuum, but without our little automatic alarm clock (Ruthie) we kinda slept in.
Nevertheless, we got EVERTHING done!
YAY!!!Blob's room is ready, the bassinette is in place and most of the housework is done.

So here's what i look like of late. Lalo has asked for a pic, so here it is... Alf was supposed to be a comparison type person but he decided to use his head instead!

On another note, i should say Congratulations to Jimena and Ben on the arrival of their long awaited little BOY(!!!), Harrison Benjamin Medway. YAY!!!
He is so cute and totally looks like a little boy.
In case you weren't aware, Jimena and i have been pregnancy buddies throughout the last 8-9 months, comparing stories and sharing advice and dreams for our little babies.
I feel quite honoured that i was one of the first to find out little Harry was born.

I will start signing off now as it is nearly 10.30pm and i have a busy day tomorrow and really need my rest.

For those of you who DO know the date of my C-Section, please pray that all goes well and that i have peace about everything i have been worried about.

We took some photos last night of what may well be the last pics of us as a family of 3

Peace Out!!!

Just an Update

So, alot has happened since i was on here last.
Ruthie and i went to Mt Isa to visit Carol and Fam...
As you can see, it was a long drive from Townsville to Mt Isa.

The cousins spent alot of time together which more often than not, ended up in Carol or I going to break up a fight :-p

They probably behaved more like teenage siblings than cousins who rarely see eachother.

Ruthie was, for the first time in her life, allowed to go outside in her gumboots and splash in the puddles.

She was also introduced to the wildlife of Mt Isa right in Carol's backyard.

I had all (well, most of) myhair chopped off for more of a "Mum's" style, much to Lalo's dismay :-p

I really should be packing...

...but i couldn't be bothered.
Its a bad habit of mine to leave things until the last minute... hehe
So here's the plan: Tomorrow i will be washing and ironing and packing like crazy and probably do a bit of cleaning as well. Then we have to drop Ruthie off at Grandma's house for a sleepover, then do the shopping for the fortnight for the 3 "adults" staying here :-p then probably come home and do a bit more packing. I'm a bit worried as to how i'll go with that seeing as half the stuff already in my suitcase is for Jesse, and i haven't even packed all of the stuff going to him either!!!
What a Spoily Spoil!!!!

Saturday i have to be up early to do a shift at work!!! Yay!!! I really am looking forward to it, but am also a bit worried as last week i got abused by cranky customers who made a mistake with their home loan and tried to blame it on me... Hello!!! i haven't been there for the last 3 months!!! Anyways, i had to put my cranky pants on and they left in a huff :-p
After that i guess i'll pick Ruthie up and put her to bed while i pack the last minute things like toothbrushes, etc.
Then hopefully Gerry will get home around 3pm, have a shower and we can leave canberra by 4pm to be in sydney hopefully by 7.30ish. Our plane leaves at 6.40am on Sunday morning, so i daresay that by the time we get to Townsville Ruthie and i will be walking around like zombies.

Here are a few photos that have been taken since i last blogged... all of Ruthie of course :-p

Ruthie having lunch with Mim and Nat.
They're such clowns :-p

Here is my beautiful girl
just being beautiful :-)

Playing with Alfie

So that's it for now... My next blog should be more interesting seeing as we'll probably be doing more :-p but until then...
Mt Isa... Here we Come!!!!!!!
Peace out!!!

Introducing....

Sorry guys... Its still Blob :-p
So this morning, we get up at 7am... (7AM!!!!!) to get ready for our ultrasound.
Ruthie was grumpy all morning and i had to concentrate on drinking at least 600mLs (a Mt Franklin Water bottle) of water and not peeing!!!
So off we went. Our Technician, Sylvia, went about checking everything for the doctor's report while Gerry sat in the corner trying to keep Ruthie entertained.
Blob was being stubborn so that it took ages to get a picture of an artery coming from its heart and one of its nose and lips. Meanwhile, my bladder was about to explode!!
So, because Blob wouldn't move, she asked me to empty my bladder... aaaahhh...
So anyways, we asked her to tell us the gender and try as she might, Blob would not uncross its legs!!! Stubborn... Definitely my child!
Now, a couple of people have asked me if we knew the gender and we just don't want to tell anyone. I promise u this is not the case...
So anyways, here are the pics... if u look closely, u can see Blob sucking its thumb in the profile pic...

On Friday, Gerry had an RDO, so instead of doing the the stuff we should have done (like clean the house, etc), we went to the lake for a bbq.
Nothing exciting really... It was really just that boredom had hit me and i needed to get out for a bit :-p

And finally, i caught someone else trying to be pretty...

At least i know what i can get them for Xmas or their birthdays... HAHAHA
Anyways, till next time...
Peace Out!!!

Again, not much has been happening lately... Except that this blog is making me take more photos!
I'm getting a bit worried that i'm turning into Carol! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
LOL just kidding!
On Saturday, Axelito came over to hang out for a bit and was arguing with Ruthie over her headband.
I caught him unawares.....

I guess he just wanted to feel pretty for once... hehe

Sunday is usually cleaning day in the Abideen/Ojeda Household.
On Saturday, we had promised Ruthie that on Sunday, we would put her Dora the Explorer canopy thingy up after we cleaned her room.
She got it for her birthday in March, but only went into a bed in August, but then we had the Gonzo's come to stay so we couldn't put it up then etiher.
So after a shuffle around of her toys and vacuuming the room, up it went.
Needless to say she was so happy it was finally up! Now she actually looks forward to going to bed!

This morning i woke up at about 3.45am and i couldn't sleep. I was tossing and turning and all i could think about was............................... Get this............................................................................. COCO POPS!!!!!
I don't know why but i couldn't get it out of my head!!!
So up i get at 4.05am to eat a bowl of coco pops! I had a small Ruthie-sized bowl and i think i should have had a normal sized bowl because it still took me a while to get to sleep.
I emailed Gerry this morning to let him know of my interesting early morning snack and he called me straight away.
He could honestly not believe that i got up to eat a bowl of Coco Pops!
I personally don't see what's so strange about that, being that my night time sleep is the longest time i go without food.
On Sunday at Dad's house, we had barbecue and Axel and Sonia were telling me to stop eating and that i eat too much, but really, would you rather see me eat non-stop, or would you rather see me spew non-stop???
I prefer to eat!

On another note, Gerry mentioned to me that he might like to add a few blog entries every now and then, so don't be surprised if you see some stories about a used car yard!
Till next time..... Peace Out!!!
